Dental Restoration is the process of restoring your mouth to a natural, attractive and well-functioning condition.
Procedures used to restore your teeth include dental implants , crowns inlays and onlays (restorations used when the tooth is tooth is too broken down for a filling but doesn't require a crown), bridges and dentures.
The method used will depend on the state of your teeth or the number of teeth missing and your budget. We will examine your teeth and see which procedure(s) will work best for you.

This patient presented with many cavities, missing teeth, and broken-off roots. Due to the large extent of dental problems, all teeth were extracted, and bone grafting was placed. Following recovery, CT scans were taken to allow accurate placement of implants. We then restored his implants with crowns and bridges to entirely rebuild his mouth.
This patient's lower teeth were too compromised to save. Additionally, he did not like the look of his upper crowns. To correct his situation, all the lower teeth were removed, and he had five implants placed. On top of his implants, we fabricated a "hybrid prosthesis" that screws tight and chews like natural teeth. During this process, he also had all the upper crowns redone, for a more natural look.
This patient presented with a variety of problems. Issues included broken crowns, worn teeth, cavities, periodontal disease, dental abscess, and missing teeth. After a full mouth reconstruction, he regained confidence in smiling and chewing. Additionally, the stabilized bite took pressure off his TMJ.

"I am a victim of bad dentistry. I let someone put in veneers, and they came off and there was nothing under the veneers as every tooth was rotten. My teeth were destroyed by normal stomach acid.
"A colleague looked at my mouth, and recommended that I see a prosthodontist.
"I chose Dr. Gray for several reasons. First, he has had wonderful training. Something that makes him better than other prosthodontists is that he is recently trained, and remains affiliated with the University. Because he teaches there and interacts with the faculty, he keeps up with the literature is familiar with all of the new developments in prosthodontics and can take advantage of this.
"Secondly, Dr. Gray understands that dental treatment works best when it is approached as a partnership between the dentist and the patient. He has been very willing to listen to my ideas, and discuss treatment options that I have read about. He has researched the options, and discussed the pros and cons with me.
"Our plan is to work out what we are going to do in what sequence, and according to my budget. In this manner we have worked out a treatment plan that I feel confident about and that I am very happy with.
"I am going to need four dental implants and fixed bridges. He has already done the extractions and the necessary bone grafts. The work has been excellent.
"I feel confident when I come to this office that I will be listened to, and that I will get the best possible dental care. With a prosthodontist and three other dentists specialty trained, they have an excellent multi-disciplinary practice. And the facilities speak for themselves—brand new, spacious and the space plan is comfortable and homey. I feel comfortable here, and I think you will too."
– Warren A. Todd, M.D.
"My wife and I became patients of Dr. Gray when he was practicing in Leeds, and we've followed him to McCalla. My earlier dentist retired, and I was very happy to find Dr. Gray.
"We hit it off right away. He's very thorough, efficient, and personable. He helped me with implants. I was a patient for over a year, and it's great to have someone that you have complete confidence in.
"My teeth were loose before, and I couldn't eat many things. Now I have 7 implants, and I can eat everything, even corn on the cob and apples."
– John Courson
"McCalla Dental was the place I chose to undergo dental implantation and, a full year later, I am very satisfied.
"Dr. Holt Gray was both upbeat and comforting, and my experience was amazingly easy.
"The dental implants made bottom denture stability a reality – I can eat anything I want to in comfort.
"I highly recommend McCalla Dental."
– Brenda Johnson
